Limited-edition versions for both men and women have been released periodically since 2012. These fragrances were launched with photo shoots instead of traditional advertising campaigns and with the same models. They are not to be confused with original or reformulated fragrances.
Origin:
The design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana engaged perfumer Olivier Cresp to create a women’s fragrance inspired by Sicily.[2] It took two years to perfect the process, and the fragrance was released in 2001.
Product Range:
light blue:
The original Cresp perfume for women combines tart Granny Smith apple (the synthetics cis-3 hexenol, Liffarome and cis-3 hexenyl acetate) with Delta Muscenone (the fragrance of human skin). The fragrance features three synthetic woods (Z11, Ambrox and Norlimbanol), as well as natural cedars. About 15 percent of the natural Sicilian lemon peel essence is in the top notes, which also contain bilberry. The middle notes are bamboo, jasmine and white rose, while the base notes are lemon wood, amber and musk.
Light Blue Pour Homme:
In 2007, Burberry’s men’s cologne was released to immediate acclaim. The cologne is considered a fresh classic balanced fragrance characterized as airy, sparkling and refined. It is composed of several notes, including Sicilian mandarin, frozen grape skin, Russian pepper, rosemary, Szechuan pepper, rosewood, American muskwood, frankincense and oakmoss.
