Original perfumes
An original perfume is a perfume with a brand name and logo that are registered at an intellectual property office by the creator/owner.
You can read more about registered branded products and counterfeit products here.
Potential sellers of that branded perfume, need to apply for a paid license from that branded perfume’s copyright owner. The copyright owner will decide if they want to provide a paid license to the applicant. If the applicant obtains a paid license from the brand’s copyright owner, he can sell and even produce that branded perfume and use the brand name and logo.
Imitation perfumes
Imitation perfumes come in two variations:
Imitation perfumes using the same brand name and logo of the original perfume.
These imitation perfumes are identical to the original perfumes. They have the same Ingredients, names, logos and shapes of the original perfumes which are used without obtaining a license from the copyright owner of the original brand.
Imitation perfumes with the same ingredients as the original perfumes.
These imitation perfumes us the exact same ingredients as the original perfumes they are based on.
They quite often smell a 100% identical to the original, but are not sold with the original brand’s name, logo and shape.
Difference
Imitation perfumes and original perfumes are sometimes so similar to each other that the consumer can no longer tell the difference. Sometimes there are differences between the original perfumes and the cheap imitation perfumes that are easy to spot in terms of quality or form. However, this is a rare occasion as the sellers of counterfeit products nearly always buy their products from the exact same factories that produce the original perfumes. The imitation perfumes are a near perfect copy, with the exact same standards of the original perfumes. This makes the main difference between the original perfumes and counterfeit perfumes the license.
Original branded perfume
We call a perfume an original perfume, when the seller or perfume factory has obtained a paid license from the copyright owner of the original Perfume. The license holder is granted the right and permission to produce and sell their product as an original perfume.
Cheap imitation perfume
When selling or manufacturing an original perfume without a paid license from the right’s owner of the original branded perfume, it is forbidden to sell the perfume using the branding. We call it a cheap imitation perfume, if the brand name is used on the fragrance anyway.
Making imitation perfumes
Imitating original perfumes is easier then most people think, and anyone can copy any branded perfume at home. All you need you to do, is to find the composition recipe of the fragrance; which essential oils are used and in what quantity, add alcohol for the chemical interaction and finish it off with glycerin to make the perfume smell redolent for longer.
One of the factors that will make the perfume smell stronger for longer is storing the perfume in a place with a consistent temperature, like a basement. There are also stores that sell ready to use essential oil formulations used in original branded perfumes.
Making perfumes at home is very easy and allot cheaper.
